They arrived in Sarnia around 9:30 A.M. on March 13 for layup. The Jackman before laying up in Sarnia indeed fueled in Sarnia at the Shell Fuel Dock in Corunna, Ontario and sorry if I mis-spelled that. Now as I mentioned earlier in my previous post, you have 3 Algoma vessels all moored and rafted together at the Government Dock. This has happened before and often to where Algoma would do this. As mentioned in my earlier post and my comments, it’s ironic the last 3 ships that Algoma has built from 2020-2024 are all laid up together in Sarnia now. The Algoma Intrepid built in 2020, the Captain Henry Jackman in 2021 and the Algoma Bear in 2024. Also it’s the first time the Jackman has laid up in Sarnia. The Algoma Bear also its first time laying up in Sarnia but, she was new and 2024/25 was her first season! The Algoma Intrepid has laid up before in Sarnia.

Guess they did take their sweet time unloading at ADM Windsor. Capt. Henry Jackman upbound past Dossin GL Museum Wednesday (Mar 12) evening, about 940PM. Apparently fueling in Sarnia six hours later. AIS still says "ADM Windsor".

As of 11 P.M. on March 12, the Captain Henry Jackman departed from the ADM Dock in Windsor this evening just after 8 P.M. and is currently upbound now in Lake St. Clair. I assume they are heading to Sarnia to layup at least until the Welland and Seaway opens on March 22. They will probably load a grain cargo somewhere to take down through the Welland and the Seaway or possibly maybe load an iron ore pellet cargo at the BNSF #5 Dock then in Superior. At any rate, the Jackman has departed Windsor and they are now underway presumably headed to Sarnia. They should arrive up in Sarnia for layup then maybe on March 13. They will then be moored to and alongside the Algoma Bear and Algoma Intrepid both are at the Government Dock in Sarnia now for Winter Layup. Soon there will be three Algoma ships all at the Government Dock in Sarnia. Sort of ironic, all three are the last 3 ships so far that Algoma has built with the Algoma Intrepid, Jackman and now the Algoma Bear!

I’m assuming that since there is no hurry to head north for another load, that they are only unloading her during normal work hours.

I’ve been watching and monitoring her progress ever since she arrived as well in Windsor to unload her cargo at the ADM Dock. At last check she was still there and like you ashland69, I’m wondering too if she’s been unloaded yet or what her status currently is? So far, there’s been nothing yet updated or posted on their AIS indicating that they’ve departed and left from Windsor. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens then with her and if she stays in Windsor or not and heads to Sarnia for layup. A good one that knows the Algoma ship stuff I think is Algowest as I’m sure he could find out for us!

Can someone indicate whether the Jackman has been unloaded at ADM in Windsor or not? If it's lightship now, does someone know whether it will indeed go to Sarnia for the rest of layup or simply stay put until the shipping season gets under way? Just curious because it's been in Windsor for a much longer period of time than is generally necessary to unload it.
