As posted in another thread, the James R. Barker will be in Sturgeon Bay soon for her five year. Great Republic is on the way to Toledo for her drydocking. The Algoma Harvester currently in Hamilton shows a destination of Port Weller, so that should be her drydocking location. Also, the Algoma Mariner will soon be heading to Mexico for a shipyard period similar to the Latimer last winter.

Kaministiqua shows destination of Erie, PA (Donjon Marine), assuming this is for 5 year survey/work.

With the Boland scheduled then for their 5-year drydocking this up and coming Winter, it will be very interesting to see then if she gets painted up in the Lower Lakes Towing’s gray colors or not? In 2024, she was the first of the 5 vessels ASC leased to GRN to receive and get the Native American Indian head stack logo on her stack applied to her. None of the others the Sam Laud, American Courage, American Mariner or H. Lee White have yet to get the Native American Indian head stack logo applied. I just wonder then at some point down the road, could we possibly see the Boland renamed or else maybe even reflagged Canadian and join the LLT fleet to make up then for the older vessels they have recently retired and scrapped? You never know and for all you boatnerds reading this, “Never say never!”

These should be due this winter: American Integrity, John J. Boland, Edgar B. Speer, Great Republic, James R. Barker and Kaministiqua. The early Chinese newbuilds from last decade should also be approaching their second five-year so we may see the Algoma Equinox, Algoma Harvester, Algoma Strongfield, Baie Comeau, Baie St. Paul, Whitefish Bay and Thunder Bay go into drydock in the coming year as well. I'm not sure the status of the John D. Leitch, which has now run seven full seasons since its last drydocking in Spring 2019.

Does anyone know which active ships are due for their five-year inspections this winter?
