Tentatively scheduled for the Twin Ports are the Indiana Harbor, Burns Harbor, John J. Boland, Lee A. Tregurtha, Mesabi Miner, and Hon. James L. Oberstar. I haven’t heard if any Great Lakes Fleet vessels will layup in the Twin Ports, but we usually get one or two.

Of course, these are all subject to change based on how the weather impacts the last week of cargo runs.

Winter layups are difficult to be certain about, especially when companies are trying to eke out a few more cargoes before season’s end despite difficult weather and ice conditoins, so I’ll refrain from saying “will” about anything, but: western Lake Superior-oriented ship traffic forecasting website HarborLookout lists the Indiana Harbor as due for winter layup at Duluth-Superior within the next day or so, possibly berthing at one of the docks on the east side of Superior, WI’s waterfont, i.e. the Lakehead Pipeline dock or Elevator M.
