Hi Andy. I received your package in the mail today by USPS and I was simply “blown away and also amazed at all the very nice things that you sent to me in the package!” Thank You so very much my friend for taking the time to send me everything on the Fitzgerald and the Paul R. Tregurtha photos as well. All of the items are very nice and I definitely appreciate you taking the time to send those to me. I will cherish those items from you my friend then forever! As you wrote in your message and in your notes, YES it is indeed very sad when I think too of the Fitzgerald’s tragic end and all of the 29 lost sailors that perished with her. Every year on the Anniversary, I always listen and play the song and it just brings tears 😭 to me whenever I think about it. I can’t even put into words or thoughts of just what those families had to go through in losing their loved ones. Many of the Fitzgerald’s crew were so very young and so full of life! Now they are all at home and are resting in peace. I still have the record the 45 RPM of the song and I’m keeling it forever until my time comes and from there I plan to take it with me and give it to Gordon Lightfoot and the Fitzgerald crew someday up in Heaven! Thanks again my friend for all of the nice gifts and items as I appreciate them. Take care my friend.
