I wish to say Thank You, to the all persons who helped out for the Boatnerd Picnic event in; organizing, setting up, cooking, and with meal preparations. The table with free boat books was interesting as well, sort of a library that you can exchange with for next year. There was some merchandise as well
This was our first time attending, and we found everyone was very friendly to chat with and the food was great. The building used worked well for this type of large gatherings even in the rainy weather with the additional covered deck. The service buildings for cooking barbecues, washrooms, and the trailer park next door is also a good setup.
We found and chatted with some of the Boatnerd executive to become more familiar with the organization and its various roles of; website, AIS , You Tube, and Facebook.
We plan to attended next year as well. One suggestion though, those on the committees or volunteers who help out could use some name tags to help us newbies (grin).
