Is there a reason the Gott needs so much power compared to other footers? They put 6 cylinder MaK's in Big Paul

If her two new MAKs turn out to rate at the HP listed by the manufacturer, The Gott will have even more HP than she does now, going from something like 19,500 HP to about 21,400 HP.

The second most powerful ship on the lakes is the Edgar B. Speer - she's got twin Pielsticks with a combined rating of around 19,200 HP.

So, the Gott is getting two MaK 8m43C engines. According to the
manufacturers website, that engine has a rating of 10,728 HP.
Does this mean that the new engines will give the Gott more or
less horsepower than she has now? If she loses the title as the
boat with the most horsepower, then which boat has the most?

There has been much talk about the Gott and her getting new
engines next year. However, her current ones give her 19,500 HP
so, how much HP's will the new ones give her next year and also
will she still hold the title as the boat with the most horsepower?
