Do you mean her tank top? If they've done a lot of internal work I'm not aware of, it certainly paints things in a different light.
But it still seems like an expensive investment in 2013 for a Canadian fleet on a vessel that is fast approaching her 35th birthday with substantially her original forebody.
I wonder if she just might get a new forebody then in a few years. The financial equation obviously changed with the lifting of the import tariffs that made it advantageous to recycle the stern of a vessel.
But perhaps with the right candidate, there's still significant enough savings there that we could see another vessel follow the Algobay and the planned Algoport project over in China by recycling the stern of an existing vessel.
