She is indeed a lovely ship. It's too bad that we are seeing all this history go away for scrap in this latest surge of ship retirements.
Algosteel will always be remembered by my wife and I as our boat lost power in the St. Clair River several years ago just as Algosteel was coming down near the St. Clair Inn. Had to be pulled out of the way. Kind of joked about being a scratch on the bow paint.
