Hi Joe! The J.P. Morgan Jr., built at American Shipbuilding Company, Lorain, Ohio, commissioned April, 1910, 601' long, 58' wide, 32' deep, powered by a triple expansion 1,880 ihp steam engine, retained the same name and belonged to United States Steel for the entire career. Involved in a collision June, 1948, and received a new wheelhouse as part of the repair. The Morgan Jr. laid up the end of 1972, but was put back into service July, 1973 after a fleetmate grounded. It was then laid up for the last time in 1976. Sold for scrap, towed from Duluth, Minnesota July, 1980 and arrived Spain November, 1980 where scrapping commenced.
