Robert Koch was born in Luterbach, Switzerland in February 17, 1909. He worked for various cement companies in Europe until he was elected president of the St. Lawrence Cement Company in 1952 and from 1963 to 1977 was chairman. He is not related to the Koch family previously mentioned. Koch, pronounced "KO'UGH", and not "KOTCH", is a common name in Switzerland and southwest Germany.

I don't think there is a Robert Koch in the infamous Koch family, but they did own/operate the asphalt storage tanks in Elberta which were demolished around 2007. The property is now for sale for $25M.

I believe that "Koch" refers to Koch Industries which owns Flint Hills Resources which operates several oil refineries I know that at least some of which produce Petroleum Coke as a byproduct.

Knowing that SMET has shipped petroleum coke in the past I have been assuming that Koch = Flint Hills Resources = Petroleum Coke.

Of course this is just my observations as an outsider so this may not be entirely correct. Koch Industries also has their hands in coal and other oil interests as well as bulk commodity trading so it could also be a coal or petroleum coke cargo with another Koch Industries origin.

I cannot answer where the cargo will be going, but my assumption is Europe. I do not know what the numbers in parentheses relates to (18-32) on the SMET schedule. Possibly stowage factor? No reference to specific cargo, but could be coke.

USA coal exports are relatively high right now. Ships are anchored off USA East Coast for weeks waiting on cargo and berth availability. Glad to see diversification by MERC/DTE.

I see the SMET loading schedule has 3 salties on the schedule over the next couple of months. I haven’t any salties here since I started watching the Duluth coal shipments 7-8 years ago. Does anyone know where this Koch might be going?
