ok on both ships if you look closely you will see the word Police and the insignia for the RCMP who are the Police riding around in these boats as well. Its a new security initiative they are doing to patrol the Canadian side of the Great Lakes. Hope this helps

Canadian Coast Guard Police?

In today's photos I see two Canadian Coast Guard boats with the words Police prominently displayed. I have always thought the CCG was not a law enforcement agency. Can anyone enlighten me?
