They towed some equipment there for Dean Construction. New dock being built.

The crew of the towing tug said that the vessel would not leave the harbor with those Battle Ribbons displayed and ordered them to be removed.

I've been on a few dead ship tows over the years and I call BS on that rumour? I'm sure the tug captain had a lot more important issues to worry about ...

You should just call the port office and ask? Or, call the company in question and ask them? I doubt many boatnerds will have an answer for you? But out of curiosity, which Port are you referring to?

Well not quite. The tug is old. The regulations, as they now stand, would not let the company have sleeping quarters below deck, as was the case presently. How Nadro got away with renovating the tug a few years ago that allowed that, is beyond most people (who know the current regs.) imagination ...

None of us know what happened. Steering failure? Crew error? Time will tell. One thing for sure is, I think there should be a east cardinal buoy there, as opposed to a red.

Bruce Mines and Thessalon both have facilities. However, Bruce Mines only loads "Trap Rock", not regular gravel/stone or sand.
