Why were the Quedoc and Vandoc scrapped?

She's at the Smith dock, the goverment dock is occupied by the James L. Kuber/ Victory.

Can someone supply me with a list of the ships that carried the title of being the largest on the lakes throughout history.

On this day in 2000, there were 51 salt water ships on the Great Lakes, most of which were large bulkers, some geared, some not. Today there are only 18, most of which being tankers or smaller geared bulkers. What has caused the decrease is salt water traffic?

It appears the Inviken has been renamed Princess Maria. Who now owns her and was her sistership, Utviken also sold and renamed?

It looks like the self unloading boom off the now scrapped Joseph H. Frantz has been painted white in preparation for placement on the new barge. Does anyone know when this tug and barge combination will arrive on the Great Lakes?

I wonder why Lower Lakes hasn't picked her up yet. I know she needs tons of work, but she still can be a profitable carrier.

Will the VSL Centurion be painted blue this Winter?

Are there any lakers that were towed overseas for scrap but weren't actually scrapped and are still around today?

Algoway is loading salt in Goderich, anyone know where she will take it?

How many more trips does the Algoway have left this year? I would like to catch her one last time.

Anyone know whats going on with the Algonorth? Why hasn't she been towed for scrap yet?

Any updates to what will be happening to C.T.C. No. 1 now that she is owned by Grand River Navigation?
