okay where are these pictures, the only ones ive found which happen to be mine of the Katmai Bay.haven't seen any others from the canal and i check the news photos daily .

To the person who posted about the Maritime Academy boat.I actually have been on there! They do dock here right in Houghton near the bridge every May or June for a day or 2. I have pic of the boat, plus pics I took on the tour about 5-6 years ago.by chance you probably were on that boat then.

They unload over at mattilas dock near Hancock beach. They are currently anchored out near the south entrance. I don't think they will be going back out the south entrance. they will not be coming in to unload tonite, they will be at anchor outside of chassell until morning. ETA 10:30am! they will be coming in under the bridge, guaranteed i will be down there looking for it.

I know the dock in Hancock was purchased by Dave Mattila.it used to be Yalmer Mattila Contracting Inc. There was a bunch of paperwork Dave had to do in order to have them continue unloading at this dock because of homeland security.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any boats loading or unloading Friday or Saturday in Marquette, MI in either upper or lower harbors? I would like to know in advance if possible as I am heading to Marquette both days and would like to capture some pics if I can.

I believe they were in Marquette for a day or so, last night they were going up and around the Keweenaw Peninsula.

The Armco was here in 2005, anchored over by Dollar Bay waiting out a storm.

Don't know what kind of conditions the Herbert C Jackson encountered last nite but they backed out of the Portage Lake/Canal and headed to Marquette and they been there most of the day so far.

Anyone happen to know where the Barker is heading? It shows they aren't that far from where I am at, but was wondering if someone knew where they were going to.
