I got my museum ships mixed up. Thanks cabinboy 1a.

I kind of remember that the Schoonmaker lost it's fireplace during a refit in her career and the museum was able to reinstall one using the salvaged fireplace from the Kinsman Enterprise.

I think they called it cross compound steam turbine from memory that sometimes gets fuzzy.

I've followed the Happy Riverdelivering wind turbine parts from Bécancour, Quebec all Summer and she's back loading now 8-25. I'm interested how late this season she'll continue the run.

I don’t understand why they are using an old boom on a new build. Even though they are going to refurbish it I would’ve thought they would want a brand new one to go with the new ship. I’m sure they are saving some money by doing this. What goes into refurbishing? I'm assuming sandblasting it will ...

From what I've seen, that "tail" is a pipe to deposit the dredged material right on the shore.

I always like ferries and that dredging barge with the classic cable gear is special. Thanks Bookworm, nice shots!
