The passenger ship Vista Star had a breakdown of some sort just outside the Duluth Entry and had to be towed back to it's dock. See this video from WDIO-TV.

Great story about the Incan Superior that ran from Thunder Bay to Duluth-Superior, 1974 to 1992.

Looks like she came through the Superior Entry, but decided it was too windy & headed back out to wait it out until the wind died down.

The Clarke came into Duluth this morning with a tug escort all the way from the Duluth Entry to the Hallett Dock 5. Was it having steering problems?

The site now uses YouTube for the cameras, so at first it is fuzzy or about 15 seconds, then goes to the sharper view. The upside is that if you scroll on the red line across the bottom of the video you can go back for the last 12 hours of video.

Looked at it this evening, the north & south breakwall lights are both working.

One rumor that I have heard is that the radar was turned off during part of the trip, and that when they tried to turn it back on, the radar antenna was frozen tight from ice accumulation, and could not turn.
