Location of MHSD Calendar Image

Can anyone identify the location of the January image in the 2021 Marine Historical Society of Detroit calendar? Coalfax appears to be downbound at what could be Point Iroquois on the pre-Seaway St. Lawrence. The telephone poles indicate there's a road, RR track or canal along the river's edge, but it's hard to tell what. Same with the rapids in the background. Are they running toward the camera or away from it? And from what vantage point was the photo taken? A passing canaller?
