I believe this is the same ship. From a screen capture from an old Telescope journal. Does anyone know how long it served as a museum ship at Charlevoix and what was the significance of "Treasure Cove"?

I'm not familiar with the Aspen, but I remember the Maple was here at the railroad dock for a time. Now it's up the Kinnickinnick River in Milwaukee.

I think it was there almost twenty years but I doubt it ever became the intended museum. Attorney Arthur Reibel of Charlevoix, who bought the Loeb Farms, purchased it in 1999 and brought it to Alpena for conversion, but he died 19 September 1999, and that was that.

Thanks! Does anyone know how long it was used as a marine museum at Mackinaw City or did that never come to pass?

The old USLHS tender Aspen at St. Ignace. It was later converted into a grotesque yacht, never completed, and scrapped by Purvis in 2000.
