I had been thinking they could load the Presque Isle and when sailing, the Blough, faster because of the big hatches, but I'll take a step back on that one.

I'll take a stab at this. The size of the hatches in this circumstance does not make a difference. The Gott ties up for the load and doesn't need to shift. The loading conveyors line up just right over the hatch openings. The size and spacing does make a difference, but not for the Gott at Two Harbors. Maybe others will add to my assessment of this.

garbear, does the Gotts narrow hatches give it a advantage for faster
loading times? Just curious.

Edwin H. Gott arrived Two Harbors on 6/11 at 02:15 and departed on 6/11 at 11:22. One of the fastest loads I've seen out of Two Harbors in a couple years.
