Confirmed..the large vessel IS Menier Consol. I checked the Canadian Vessel Registry and got the IMO number and have found the confirmation I was looking for:

The first thing I noticed on the larger vessel was the camouflage paint. This is what reallyt caught my attention. It "looks" like an LST but since I could not find a way to get closer I could not tell.

I believe the larger ship is a converted LST[?] and now serves as a floating drydock.

Identification help
I was in Toronto on May 25. I was walking around the port area of Toronto and I saw a lot of different vessels. However, there was one i saw in the distance that I could not identify. It was docked a little to the east of the Windoc, deep in the main harbor channel towards the basin (see the map I attached). The approximate location is marked by big freehand drawn red X. I have as cropped picture of the mystery vessel. I was on the Cherry Street bridge. It was a bit of a long shot, but luckily I had a 300 mm lens.
If anyone knows what this vessel is or its name, I would love to know.
