Algoma Progress coal cargo to Hamilton

U.S. Steel said they are only making coke in Hamilton for their own use and won't be selling to competitors. They were trucking 50 loads a day from Hamilton to Nanticoke the last I read.

No room ore dock is full and coke cannot be mixed with coal. U.S.S. may or may not sell coke to AMD , it's the competitor thing.

I see Algolake is also due at pier 22 with coke from QC. Why wouldn't they unload at Dofasco ? I wonder if they'll purchase some coke from U.S. Steel Canada since they're restarting their coke battery.

Dofasco is shutting down their #1 coke plant in early 2015.This will mean they will have to purchase coke to make up for lost production this coke came from China , came over in saltie and was transloaded at Qubec.

The HPA's site showed them coming into pier 22 with a cargo of coal from Quebec. Is that a mistake ? Now they're shown as departing pier 22 in ballast to Detroit. Anybody know what took place ? TIA
