Q2: They are hauling limestone from the Ogden Point Quarry to the CRH Mississauga cement plant. Limestone is the primary ingredient for cement. As far as I know, they do stop for the winter, but the plant can run year round, by stockpiling extra material.

Q3: PDF maps of the Seaway, showing calling in points, can be downloaded here. The one you are referring to is the Lake Ontario Map. And CIP 15 is Port Weller.

I have had the radio going for a few months now and I have a fun marine traffic app on my tablet thing. I wanted to say thanks to the people who answered my last batch of dumb questions. Guess what? I have a few more.

Q1. Right now there are a bunch of boats in the Port Weller anchorage. Are they waiting for the canal? Or are they done for the year and are waiting for a place to winter?

Q2. The Robert S. Pearson .... I think she hauls sand. Back and forth, back and forth . Cobourg to Oakville. No canals. Does she stop in the winter?

Q3. Is there a map of the calling in points? I haven't been able to find one. I am guessing that CIP15 is either Newcastle or Port Weller... can anyone confirm?

Thanks
