The Clyde along with their barge Erie Trader are also the first vessel to depart Sturgeon Bay and Winter Lay-Up as well to begin the 2022 shipping season.

See she's been stopped just North of my hometown of Arcadia, MI for most of the day. You could get a good view of her from the turnout North of Arcadia.

They did depart at about 07:30. Heading out to Lake Michigan via the ship canal, destination listed as Silver Bay.

Yesterday afternoon the Clyde S VanEnkevort and Erie Trader maneuvered out of Berth 3 at Bay Ship, assisted by tugs Jimmy L and William C Gaynor.

The Clyde/Erie are now tied up on the face, outboard of the Mesabi Miner and John J Boland. Looks like they will be departing this morning.
