Intregrity / G.L. Ostrander

The ATB Intregrity/G.L. Ostrander and the Alpena cement plant were shown for a couple of brief moments on the NBC Nightly News Tuesday Oct 18th but not for good reasons. Stock footage of various Lafarge facilities around the world was used to illustrate a news item about Lafarge pleading guilty to sending millions of dollars in bribes to Isis to allow Lafarge to continue to run a cement plant in Syria back in 2014. The company was fined $800 million by the US government. The news item did mention that no US employees were involved in the activity and that this was done before the merger with Holcim.
