The Alpena left Detroit this morning and as of 2:50 p.m. on January 17th are upbound in the St. Clair River nearing St. Clair itself. They are headed back up to Alpena where they are due on January 18th. Looks like they’re going be out running for a while yet then.

Alpena never laid up. They stopped at Mistersky's for fuel on way back to Alpena. They have one more load to do on Lake Michigan, then they come back to Alpena for their lay up load to Cleveland.

Alpena still running

Unread post by Denny »

In viewing the AIS map on boatnerd, it appears that the Alpena left their dock in Cleveland, Ohio late last night on January 16 and are now headed to Detroit to unload. The tug Samuel De Champlain and barge Innovation are also at Detroit and the Lafarge Dock and Terminal there. Is the Alpena still going to layup then in Cleveland or will they still be doing a few more runs yet? Anyone that has further detains and information is appreciated. Thanks.
