I was very sorry to hear the passing of Dick Wicklund earlier this month. He was a very kind person who helped me accumulate a lot of photographic material of ships that have long been sunk or scrapped and more importantly, unpublished.
I will always remember visiting the private collection at Acheson up in Port Huron with Bob McGreevy and Bob Cambell where we spent hours going through rare photographs and glass plate negatives.
You'll be missed Dick, 3 long and 2 short for a great historian.
