Yes a bridge over the I 190 in Buffalo was constructed with Italian bridge supports instead of American bridge parts from Pittsburg.

The parts were so large that they had to be barged down the Erie Canal from Albany to Buffalo.

Strange public policy indeed.

We got that beat south of the border.

Foreign steel is being used on the White House projects.

Montreal Container terminal - Made with Foreign Steel

Just incredible to see that the new container port being constructed in Montreal with foreign made EU steel pilings.

Meanwhile in Western Ontario, steel mills remain idle, with thousands of Canadian steelworkers (USW) laid off from their jobs.

You talk about short sighted national economic policy, this takes the cake.

Steel from the EU instead of Ontario. Bizarre beyond belief.
