Manistee
Re: Manistee
Re: Victory - It has now dropped off the AIS. I don't know if it was really there or not, I didn't get to the overlook in time. We've seen several false locations this morning, so something might be going on with our signals. Sorry for adding to the confusion.
Re: Manistee
Mackinaw did a look west of the bridge and then headed ease, giving a security call for Round Island Passage. The Aird must be anchored for the winds in Lake Michigan. Biscayne Bay is now moving around a bit.

Victory/Kuber are listed as laid-up for the winter in Toledo as of 01-20. Did plans change in the last 48 hours for tug/barge to be in the Mackinac ice? TIA
Re: Manistee
Mackinaw went right on past the Aird and headed west. Are they heading to Lake Michigan for something or is the Biscayne Bay now stuck?
Re: Manistee
Well, Manistee made it out and headed down the lake, now the John B. Aird is stopped east of Mackinaw City.
It looks like Biscayne Bay just escorted the Victory/Kuber westbound and is sitting out to the west of the bridge, but the Mackinaw has departed Cheboygan heading towards the Aird.
Did the Algowood go through the Straits this morning? I see them downbound out in the lake well off Bois Blanc, as if they came from Cedarville (but I doubt that).
Since we are starting to make ice, when will they close the South Channel to allow the ice bridge to form to Bois Blanc?

Looks like the Biscayne Bay is on the way from St. Ignace. The Mackinac is still sitting in Cheboygan.

Manistee
Manistee has been nearly stationary South of St. Helena Island for last two hours. Must be struggling in ice? Any icebreakers near?
