The vessel that you are referring to is the Provmar Terminal II a former Imperial Oil tanker that was towed from Hamilton earlier this year to Port Colborne for scrapping. I don't know what is left of the James Norris but, at one time she was also being scrapped at the scrapyard as well. Hope that this helps.

Port Colborne Scrap Yard vessel

Unread post by sgrima »

I went by the Port Colborne Scrap Yard a few days ago and noticed that there were 2 ships sitting next to each other. One was the Grand River vessel and the other one I had never seen before. It was at night so I didn't get a look at it's name.

Does anyone know the name and/or story behind the other ship?

It had a blue and white striped stack and was a lot smaller that the Maumee that she was tied up to. Any info is appreciated. Thanks
