Whitefish Bay left its dock in Montreal on Saturday and Thunder Bay was approaching Three Rivers and should be in Montreal before too long.

Passed 3rivers and done pilot exchange at 5 am and should be off pier 29 in Mtl at 12:00 today finally this whole adventure is nearing its end.

So do you now stay with the ship, or head back to China??

at current speed, whitefishbay should be passing trios-Rivieres around 4 in the morning, and should arrive in montreal around 11-11:30 in the morning

All going well means Trois-Rivières at day break and Montréal late morning early afternoon on the 9.

They aren't accurate. The same thing happened to us a couple of weeks ago when the Whitefish was just south of Clipperton Island and it then comes back within a day or so of passing Isla des Coco, Costa Rica. It is because they are outside of the satellite zone so they have lost communication. When they get back into the coverage zones their courses and speeds will be accurate. Somebody mentioned hurricanes when this happened to us which wasn't true. We experienced no weather whatsoever on our crossing, similar to what we experienced 2 years prior on the Algoma Mariner. That is why these routes are chosen. Remember they are 50% scantling ships with no bilge keels and so don't want to experience much weather.

Tonight, July 3rd, the CSL Thunderbqy was heading west, away from Panama!

The CSL Thunder Bay looks like it's still a week away from the panama canal!

It's 3,000 miles away, traveling at 14 knots! Going to be a while.

As of tonight, Mon, July1st they are 2300 miles from Panama city.
That's 164 hours of traveling at 14kts.

Does anyone have any photos of the CSL Thunder Bay along with the CSL Whitefish Bay? Yes, I know there are some on boatnerd already in the fleet gallery but, I am looking for anything recent such as from the Whitefish Bay's trip through the Panama Canal. Did anyone happen to catch her in the canal and get pictures or web cam images? If so could you please post it on the photo page of the boatnerd site for people to see? Would like to see more photos of the Trillium self-unloaders. Thanks in advance.
