Mike:

At the time that Cape Roger came to PWDD, it was said that the ship would be moved below Lock 1 in mid-December to free up the dock for commercial work.

Not all the work in a refit needs to be done in drydock.

Cape Roger towed to W-1 below lock 1 for the completion of her refit and other necessary winter work - Seaway Marine yard has other vessels scheduled in the docks for winter work

Does anyone know why this ship was towed out of Port Weller drydock yesterday and was sitting just past lock #1 of the Welland Canal opposite the sand dock?

Curiously the scaffolding was still around the mast.
