the temporary fix is to get a large crane{ from where } to lis up the side of the apron where the pilings holding up the counterweight until the end of the season and repair it during layup. this will cancel the double sailings as the crane operator wont want to work them hours. ready by 07/29/23 ? wishful thinking! well see if the rocket scientist know what their talking about

Well, there's always the Lake Express. Biut if you have the time, and you're far enough north that you were going to take the Badger, try driving around the north end of Lake Michigan. Awesome scenery and great places to walk, eat and recreate. There's a smokehouse in Mackinaw City that makes a great smoked whitefish sausage.

all sailings for the ss badger cancelled until thursday july 27th due to problems with the loading apron in ludington. its the same apron that was used to load railroad cars prior to 1992

to day 07/21/23 the badger had problems with the loading apron, not the vessel itself. out west b.c. ferries cancelled 8 sailings due to a hydrolic leak the vessel has to be drydocked on monday. on canadas east coast n.f.l. ferries cancelled 1 sailing each way due to mechanical problems but it has been fixed and back running. as they say --hit happens!
