Re: Richelieu
I was wondering since she is sailing with a full crew and also is it a Canadian Crew or Foren? I also wonder is it cheaper to have her sail under her own power vs haveing a Tug come in and do a scrap tow? One last question I wonder if CSL will fly the crew back once there trip is done and put them on the Mapleglen or Oakglen and have them sail thoses two boats to the bone yard. Thanks for any information.

Re: Richelieu
Thanks a million Guest for your information, reply and response especially on those IMO Numbers. I did not know that they had already been assigned the IMO Numbers. Do you know if they have picked out any names yet for them? If they have, then CSL is keeping it very quiet by not letting the cat out the bag yet.

Re: Richelieu
Yes "you are correct." They have been assigned IMO numbers 9694440, 9694452, 9665281, 9665279 and will be built by the Yangfan Group.

Re: Richelieu
So, am I correct in saying that CSL is going ahead then with the plan to build "four instead of two straightdeckers?"
Re: Richelieu
Option has been exercised for four, this was reported a number of weeks ago.

Re: Richelieu
Have they laid any keels yet for the straightdeckers in China or begun any construction on them? They are to be built though at a different yard and not at Chengxi where the self-unloaders were built. Also, the original deal if I am correct was to build two new straightdeckers with an option for two additional ones. I wonder if CSL will exercise their options and eventually build four instead of two straightdeckers? This is also how the self-unloaders first got started from two at first to eventually winding up with four in all.
Re: Richelieu
It would seem so. Trillium Class straight deckers will be the end of these old salties.
