Owen Sound Lay-ups?

Re: Owen Sound Lay-ups?
Thanks tugboathunter and Guest for your input on the Algowood as it is much appreciated! Interesting information that you guys have and found out on both the Algosteel and the Algowood. I would not have guessed the Algowood going to Sarnia and the fuel dock to get fuel. As for the Algosteel, I agree that after thinking about that one that it does indeed makes sense for her to lay up in Goderich since she's due for retirement. Also as you had mentioned and I would agree, it makes sense as well to have the Algosteel load out with salt in the Spring like the Algomarine and the John B. Aird also had done before their retirements. Maybe then I might get lucky and see the Algosteel downbound in the Spring out on the river! Gosh let's hope so as I need to get her downbound one last time. Sorry to go off subject and topic here. Thanks again for your help.

Re: Owen Sound Lay-ups?
They are going to fuel in Sarnia and then head to Goderich to load. Not lay-up

Re: Owen Sound Lay-ups?
I believe the Algowood is just going to Sarnia to fuel. I think they have more salt runs left. The Algosteel is scheduled for retirement so I’m guessing that she will lay up in Goderich as they did with the Algomarine and John B. Aird, to load salt at the start of the season and head to Montreal.

Re: Owen Sound Lay-ups?
Regarding my earlier post and mentioning of the Algowood as far as them laying up in Sarnia, from their AIS they are still anchored yet over near Manistique on Lake Michigan so I don't believe that they will be making it to Sarnia today for Winter Lay Up but they should be arriving there sometime this weekend. Hope this helps.

Re: Owen Sound Lay-ups?
The Algowood was expected to arrive in Sarnia sometime for lay up on January 19th per their AIS at last report from Marine Traffic and their website. I assume then if this is the case then they may end up at the Government Dock and as tugboathunter suggested, then the Algosteel at some point may also lay up alongside of them at the Government Dock. The Algoma Enterprise I can see them at Goderich and the North Dock this winter probably for lay up there. Don't know if they may end up going to Port Colborne and lay up there or not as anything is possible I suppose? Hope this helps out.

Re: Owen Sound Lay-ups?
Only 3 Canadian ships still running on the Lakes are the Enterprise, Algosteel and Algowood. I assume one will lay up at the north wall in Goderich and the other two at the Government Dock in Sarnia. My guess is Owen Sound will be left out this winter.
Owen Sound Lay-ups?
Any word on any Owen Sound lay-ups. It seems unusual that there there aren't any ships here by now (besides the Chi-Cheemaun).
Any info would be appreciated.
