The Canadiana used to carry passengers from Buffalo over to the Crystal Beach amusement park in Canada. The park was closed and torn down in the late 80's or early 90's.

The Wikipedia page 'SS Canadians' gives a brief but accurate recounting of the 'Americana' (2), as well as the eventual scrapping of the Canadiana, despite many efforts to restore the boat.

While in Buffalo during the late 1980s I recall there was a cruise boat named Americana that ran to somewhere in Canada. Does this boat still operate? I seem to remember there also being some type of fund drive to restore another vessel at the time.
