thats interseting, i have heard that all of ASC's diesel powered vessels were going to be out at some point this year. apparently they dont need the extra tonnage to handel the contracts they have this year

I thought the Courage was to remain laid up due to the on-going strike/dispute with the union that crews that boat? I am unsure why the Acorn would remain laid up, but it seems like that boat has long been "extra" tonnage for ASC. I would like to know more about the extensive steel work that you report the Courage needs, she hasn't hauled salt or been in use on saltwater, but earlier this year the Walter J McCarthy needed new bulk heads and also isn't that old or haul salt, can anyone explain? Was it just "cheap" steel that is rotting out or some other cause? Thanks!

I am not sure why ASC has the Adam E. Cornelius in long-term layup. However, I have heard that the American Courage needs extensive steelwork before she can sail.

In the business climate of this year, which is much better than last year, why are the Cornelius and American Courage staying tied up all year when they both sailed off and on last year?
