Yes, the Spruceglen was built with a passenger deck between the pilot house and the Texas deck. Built as the William K Field as the flagship of the Reiss steamship Company. Repowered in 1957 with a DeLaval steam turbine engine which was still a coal fired power plant. Remained so until it was scrapped in 1986 as the last canadian coal fired vessel. Used for grain storage in Goderich 1983 to 1985, sold for scrap 1985, scrapping completed in 1986.

The Marine Historical Society of Detroit calendar for April has a beautiful shot of the Spruceglen taken in 1982. The ship appears to have an additional accomodation deck below the pilot house. Was she the Fleet Flagship for Reiss Steamship when built in 1924? Also, she has a nice plume of black smoke in the photo, was she still a coal burner in the 80's?
