@Jon Paul - that “red Wyandotte native” figure use to stand tall in someone’s backyard on Grosse Isle facing the river.

What about the Pioneer boats with the orange and yellow hulls which were very noticeable.
Easy to spot in the ice.

I loved the paint scheme of the Wyandotte boats. White cabins, Green hull and the silver stack with a black smoke band and red Wyandotte native with the bow and arrow.

Come on Man, CCIC Green cabins with black hulls. Green hallways, green rooms, Green everywhere. I once went home while unloading at McClouth Steel dock. My wife had painted our bed room green while I was gone. She did such a great job. Repaint it any color but green before I come home on vacation.

I see others comment on the beauty of ship colors. For me, it was the Oglebay Norton and Columbia Star. Beautiful!
