An extension has already been requested and denied by the Army Corps.

They're only loading at South of #2 the shiploader. The last time they had a backup of boats it took 7 days to clear the backlog. That was the end of December/early January.

I was just thinking the same thing pcolachap as I just don’t see how all those ships could be loaded and through the Soo Locks by the closing date of January 15? Surely there will be delays for loading with ships anchoring out to wait for a clear dock and berth. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Saturday January 9, there are 12 vessels scheduled to load in Two Harbors, including 5 thousand footers. Do you think the Lake Carriers Association would request an extension of the locks closing date of January 15?
