I'm about 80 pages into my story "Captain's Kid". I'm at a loss as to how to go about getting into print. It covers my family history on steamboats as far back as shipkeeping in the twenties in Port Arthur up to the Donner being purchased by Miller Compressing.

I don't recall any footers (it's been a few years), but "A Sailor' Logbook" by Mark Thompson was a good read.

I am looking for a book about working the lake freighters, especially on one of the footer ships. Does anyone know of any books?
