Lions Flag on the Walter J

If anyone is interested in this, just watched the Walter J. McCarthy Jr. pass upbound on the Marine City webcam. To my surprise they were flying a Detroit Lions flag above the pilothouse! I think that’s the first time I’ve ever seen a ship flying the Lions flag then? There must be a few Lions fans then aboard the Wally Mac! One flag you sure don’t see much of anymore is the Red Wings. Used to be in their glory years in the 1990s and in the early 2000s, I used to see their flag flown on a few US ships but not anymore and not in a very long time either.
