The only coal dock at Blind River was operated by the Canadian Pacific for its own use and that of local mills, built in 1904 and dismantled in 1966. Reiss owned no docks outside of the United States, but it may have distributed coal to Canadian docks on Lake Huron, but that seems unlikely. Most coal going to that part of Canada was probably loaded direct from Toledo, Cleveland, Sandusky, Oswego, and Buffalo, often as a back haul in Canadian grain boats.
