This Day in History (Sam Bolten correction)

Unread post by Jared »

The Sam Bolten went ashore at Richmondville about 6 miles above Forester. Richmondville was wiped out completely during the fire of 1881 and was never rebuilt so the location of the loss is attributed to Delaware point or north of Forester.

Richmond is in the very low part of the Thumb and is land locked.
