That picture is at the Soo Line dock immediately upstream from and next to the 10th Street Bridge. The smokestack is Medusa Cement, butit is much further upriver around the big bend containing Manitowoc Shipbuilding. The Ann Arbor ferries also used the C&NW dock at the mouth of the River. The C&O ferries used both as well.

I believe Ann Arbor used the Soo Line dock. Red & white Medusa Cement plant stack in the background?

Where is that photo of the Viking docked in Manitowoc taken? Looks like the cement plant smoke stack in the background. (white residue around the top instead of the soot on the power plant stack.) Seems pretty far up-river if that is the case.
