The Marquette coal run must have been a nice contract to have. Unload the coal, load taconite pellets. $$$$$$$$

The power plant was idled several years ago and removed. Some coal is still delivered to the Reiss dock but at a much reduced level than in the past.

Much coal was shipped from Chicago to Wisconsin Electric by boat for decades. I am familiar with plants at Oak Creek, Milwaukee, and Port Washington. Were there any more WE plants? Are the plants still using coal? Boat deliveries ended years ago with the use of unit trains directly to the station. Are the generating plants at Sheboygan and Green Bay still burning coal?
