Fuel tanks during winter layup

The crews do not need to add anything to the fuel tanks. They will switch the engines over to diesel fuel about a day before they shut them down for the winter.

Just watching the PRT on the Duluth cams and was wondering do the engineers have to pump in some kind of fuel additives before the engines are shut down for two months so they can be started again or are their other mechanisms in play. I do realize we are not talking lawn mowers here. Just curious.
