Soo Canada lock is used by recreational vessels and tug boats. No tolls charged

In the 70s when I was on Canadian vessels and we passed thru the Canadian lock there was no toll. And they even had a post office there. And there was {is?} A post card for sale of the coal fired steam gate lifter at the Canadian lock. Wish I would of kept one

Are they still charging any tolls today? The Canadian Lock I am referring to then.

So am I correct that the Canadian Lock charges tolls then? That would mean then that both the MacArthur and the Poe Locks do not charge any tolls correct?

No fee at the soo locks for any vessel

As far as I know unless it’s changed or I’m missing something, I don’t believe there are any types of tolls for any vessels when going through the Soo Locks? Any vessel of any type or size to my knowledge from what I’ve heard before can use the Soo Locks. Again, I don’t know for sure if this still holds up today or not? Surely someone knows more than I do on this information. Hope that I’ve helped answer your questions.

I viewed the Duluth webcam as the Stellar Maestro departed headed for Detroit. It made me wonder if when passing through the Soo Locks if there is a fee and if so, about how much. Thanks.
