Algoma Steel CEO Michael Garcia said back in March that they expect to produce all their steel through the Electric Arc Furnace by the end of 2026.

Algoma steel plant in sault st Marie is sure taking a lot of ore this season for a plant that is soon to be converting over to electric arc furnace. Tariffs don’t seem to be having much effect on the amount of ore the United States is shipping to Quebec,Hamilton,nanticoke,sault st Marie.
