This is the open waters marine forecast for Lake Superior issued at 4:12am EST on Friday.
A NW wave/sea/swell on the Block’s quarter will make the ship roll too much sailing straight to the Soo from Marquette.
Going north and putting the sea more directly on the stern will substantially reduce rolling and makes everyone much more comfortable.
It’s all about getting a “good ride.”
