Can someone please tell me what the actual closing dates were for both the St. Lawrence Seaway & the Welland Canal? In looking at the Shiphotos.com website, it says “The Seaway closing date for the 2025/26 shipping season was on January 12, 2026.” It also says too that the Welland Canal closed on January 15, 2026 for the 2025/26 shipping season. Are these two dates the correct and right dates then or do I have the dates wrong? Thanks.

When did the Seaway and Welland Canal close to end the 2025/26 shipping season? From information that I’ve read if this is correct, the Seaway closed on January 12, 2026 while the Welland Canal closed down on January 15tb then. If the dates that I have listed are not correct, can someone please provide and give the correct closing dates? Thanks so very much in advance.
